The national automobile industry is experiencing a period of intense renewal with the arrival of multiple launches of Asian origin. Fabricantes like GWM, BYD and Geely intensify their local operations, bringing models that combine electrification and robust technological packages to compete for sales leadership.
This commercial offensive seeks to meet the demand for more efficient and connected vehicles, taking advantage of new assembly lines established across the country. The strategy focuses on reducing logistics costs and offering more aggressive prices to the end consumer.
The competitive landscape is rapidly changing with the introduction of SUVs and compacts that promise extended autonomy and modern design. Brands are betting on the nationalization of components to ensure long-term sustainability and greater agility in replacing parts.
Performance of the new Haval H4
The GWM Haval H4 appears as one of the main bets for the medium SUV segment, positioned to attract consumers looking for value for money. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5 turbo Miller cycle engine, which delivers 171 hp, working together with an electrical system that increases total power to 243 hp. Essa mechanical configuration aims to offer dynamic acceleration without compromising fuel economy.
The model is produced at the Aracruz unit, at Espírito Santo, which facilitates distribution to dealerships throughout the territory. The dual-clutch transmission set has been calibrated to optimize drivability in urban and highway environments.
Internally, the car has driving assistance and automatic emergency braking systems. Multimedia integration and a comfort-focused finish put the model in direct competition with options already consolidated on the market.
Evolution on line Dolphin
BYD updates its portfolio with the hybrid version of the Dolphin, which features significant aesthetic changes, including enlarged headlights and a restyled front grille. The propulsion system combines a 1.5 gasoline engine with an electric motor, resulting in a combined power of 259 hp, ideal for those who need extended autonomy.
The exterior design received adjustments to the bumper to give it a more sporty appearance, complemented by new wheels that modernize the car’s appearance. The automaker plans to assemble this vehicle locally to maintain competitiveness against rivals and meet the current energy transition.
Differentials of the Geely EX5
The Geely introduces the EX5, an SUV that stands out for its total range of more than 1,400 km, thanks to its battery that allows 120 km in pure electric mode. The 1.5 naturally aspirated engine works together with the electrical system to generate 217 hp, offering robust performance for long journeys.
The model is manufactured at Paraná, the result of a strategic partnership with Renault, aiming to reduce dependence on imports. The vehicle’s generous dimensions provide ample interior space, while the infotainment system guarantees full connectivity with mobile devices.
GAC bets and Omoda
The GAC GS3 enters the market with a 177 hp 1.5 turbo engine and seven-speed gearbox, focused on agility and economy on the road. Seu sporty design and compact dimensions are aimed at daily use and small families, with an interior that prioritizes practicality through induction charging and vertical screens.
The Omoda 4 has a bold look with carbon fiber details and a 147 hp 1.5 turbo engine. The model seeks to attract a young audience with premium finishes and an affordable price, integrating intelligent functions into its multimedia center.
Financial support in factories
Investments for the nationalization of production amount to billions of dollars, reflecting the brands’ confidence in the potential for local consumption. GWM expands its capacity by Iracemápolis, while Geely allocates significant resources to its plant in the south of the country.
- Factories adapted for the assembly of hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Creation of direct jobs and transfer of industrial technology.
- Global partnerships, like Stellantis, accelerate systems integration.
These industrial efforts result in vehicles with greater durability and adapted to national road conditions. Fierce competition drives innovation, benefiting consumers with more purchasing options and cutting-edge technologies.
