BYD announced this Monday, March 4, the expansion of its portfolio of electrified vehicles in the Brazilian market with two strategic launches. The automaker presented the 2027 line of the best-selling Song Plus, which receives important mechanical updates, and introduced the unprecedented Atto 8, a large SUV aimed at the premium segment. With an aggressive pricing strategy, the manufacturer maintained the suggested value of the Song Plus at R$249,990, preserving its position in the market even with the improvements implemented. Connectivity and security on board
The interior of the launches reflects the focus on technology and sophistication. The Song Plus 2027 maintains the characteristic 15.6-inch rotating screen and gains the option of a black interior finish. The multimedia system integrates a 360-degree camera and an Infinity sound system with 10 speakers.
In Atto 8, the equipment level rises to the luxury standard. The Disound premium audio system has 21 speakers, and occupants in the first two rows enjoy seats with electrical adjustments, ventilation, heating and massage. In terms of safety, the model offers nine airbags and a complete driving assistance package, including autonomous emergency braking and cross-traffic monitoring.
Market outlook for 2026
Maintaining prices and introducing new technologies are part of BYD’s strategy to lead the hybrid segment in the Brasil. The company offers easy conditions, such as zero taxes and bonuses when exchanging used vehicles, to attract consumers who want to migrate to electrified vehicles.
With the charging infrastructure expanding in capital cities, the extended autonomy of the new models becomes an important differentiator.
