The British motorcycle manufacturer officially introduced a new model to the national market, expanding its participation in the medium-displacement segment with a focus on versatility. The vehicle, which adopts the nomenclature of a famous desert race, uses the brand’s renowned 648-cylinder platform, but presents profound structural and aesthetic modifications to suit motorcyclists who divide their time between urban asphalt and dirt roads. The initial commercial strategy includes the availability of a restricted lot, offered upon prior reservation at authorized dealerships throughout the country.

The suggested value for this pre-sale phase was set at R$33,990, positioning the motorcycle competitively within its category. With this price, the automaker seeks to attract both the brand’s loyal customers and a new consumer profile interested in the scrambler style.

To guarantee the reservation of one of the units, interested parties must follow a specific protocol established by the manufacturer to organize the initial demand:

– Realização of registration on the automaker’s official platform.

– Pagamento of a financial signal to effect the purchase intention.

– Escolha from the preferred dealership to collect the vehicle.

– Aguardo confirmation of billing directly from the factory.

Commercial strategy and distribution of the first units

The introduction of this model represents a direct move by the automaker to capture a share of consumers looking for mixed-use vehicles. The scrambler style has gained traction in global markets, and offering a product with this proposal aims to diversify the options for brand enthusiasts on the national scene.

Limiting the first batch to 400 units creates an environment of temporary exclusivity. Essa tactic is often used in the automotive sector to organize the supply chain and measure initial product acceptance before scaling production.

Concessionaires already operate with the reservation system activated, advising customers on delivery times and billing conditions. The service network underwent specific training to detail the technical differences between this launch and previous models that share the same mechanical basis.

The logistics schedule foresees that the regular supply of stores occurs gradually, following the organic demand generated after the pre-sale period. Deliveries to the first buyers are scheduled to begin in March.

Mechanical architecture and engine performance

The powertrain that propels the motorcycle is based on a parallel two-cylinder engine, with 648 cubic centimeters of volumetric capacity, equipped with a mixed air and oil cooling system. The manufacturer’s engineers remapped the electronic injection system to alter power delivery, prioritizing torque at low and medium speeds, a fundamental characteristic for mixed-use vehicles. The declared maximum power reaches 47 horsepower at 7,150 revolutions per minute, while the maximum torque has been raised to 5.7 kgfm, available at 5,150 revolutions, representing a significant increase in relation to other designs in the same structural family.

The transmission has a six-speed gearbox, coupled to a clutch with assistance and slipper system. The exhaust system was also redesigned, adopting a two-in-one arrangement, which directly contributes to reducing the unit’s total weight and alters the sound emission of the twin-cylinder engine.

Suspension and braking system upgrades

To withstand the demands of off-road use, the tubular steel chassis received specific structural reinforcements at the highest stress points. The main cycling change is found in the front suspension set, which now adopts an inverted fork supplied by the Japanese brand Showa, with 43 millimeter diameter tubes and elongated travel to absorb impacts more efficiently.

At the rear, the double damping system has been recalibrated, offering greater travel compared to the manufacturer’s strictly urban motorcycles. Essa configuration aims to maintain directional stability at cruising speeds on asphalt, without compromising the ability to negotiate obstacles on dirt roads, holes and uneven terrain with geometric safety.

The set of wheels is shod with mixed-use tires, ensuring the necessary traction on different types of surfaces. The braking system consists of discs on both wheels, managed by a dual-channel ABS system, with the electronics allowing the ABS to be deactivated exclusively on the rear wheel to favor off-road driving.

Visual identity inspired by historical competitions

The visual characterization of the project directly refers to the endurance competitions held in the deserts of Califórnia during the 1960s, with a special focus on the famous Big Bear Run race, which served as a direct inspiration for the model’s baptism. The design incorporates a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with a capacity to store 13.7 liters, straight lines on the seat and exposed components that reinforce the motorcycle’s robustness and utilitarian vocation. The sides feature smooth oval plates that resemble the spaces for numbers on old racing bikes, while the round LED headlight maintains the manufacturer’s classic aesthetic. The raised fenders and the absence of superfluous plastic fairings demonstrate a minimalist approach, leaving the two-cylinder engine and side exhaust system in full evidence. The painting work and graphics applied to the body use a color palette that purposely contrasts with the darkened finish of the engine block and tubular chassis, creating its own visual identity that physically differentiates the model from other road options available in the automaker’s current catalog.

Digital dashboard integration and connectivity

The instrument panel abandons the traditional dual analogue displays in favor of a single circular digital screen, which concentrates all vital information about the machine’s operation. The display shows data such as speed, engine speed, fuel level, gear engaged and odometers, presented with a high level of contrast to facilitate quick reading in direct sunlight during daytime riding.

The system integrates the brand’s native browser, allowing pairing with smartphones via the Bluetooth connection in a simplified way. Através from a dedicated application, the rider can project turn-by-turn routes directly on the dashboard’s main screen, eliminating the need to attach a cell phone to the handlebars, while a strategically positioned USB port ensures power supply for mobile devices during logistical journeys.

Ergonomics adapted for multiple terrains

The height of the seat in relation to the ground was set at 830 millimeters, a geometric measurement that accommodates riders of different heights and allows a privileged view of the traffic ahead. The riding position was designed to keep the torso upright, with arms relaxed and legs slightly bent, reducing muscle fatigue during long trips and continuous highway journeys. The width of the handlebars and the central positioning of the footpegs facilitate the fluid transition from sitting to standing riding, an essential technique for driving on rough terrain.

Factory protective components

The factory project includes items developed to increase the durability of mechanical components exposed to the elements of the external environment. The motorcycle leaves the assembly line equipped with a lower crankcase protector, designed to shield the lower part of the engine against the impact of stones and debris thrown by the front wheel during traffic on unpaved roads.

Furthermore, the seat has a reinforced coating to withstand continuous abrasion, and the pedals have metal claws that prevent boots from slipping in rainy or muddy conditions. Esses details ensure the physical integrity of the set and the grip necessary for driving in adverse scenarios, delivering a complete package for demanding consumers.
