Jeep presents the 2027 line of Commander with new features focused on the engine. The seven-seater SUV incorporates the 48-volt mild-hybrid system in versions Limited and Overland equipped with the T270 engine. Version Blackhawk now uses the 2.0 turbo engine Hurricane in flex configuration.

These updates follow the same strategy recently applied to the Renegade. The main objective is to improve energy efficiency without significantly altering the model’s performance or off-road capability. The brand maintains most prices and applies reductions only to the top-of-the-line configuration.

Mechanical news on Commander 2027

Versions Limited and Overland now feature the MHEV set associated with the 1.3 turboflex T270 engine. Esse system delivers 176 horsepower and 27.5 kgfm of torque. The electrical component helps with accelerations and restarts, in addition to recovering energy during decelerations.

According to data from Inmetro, the mild hybrid model records up to 11 km/l with gasoline in urban environments. The reduction in consumption can reach 9.4% compared to the conventional version. The improvement in CO² emissions reaches up to 5% in combined use between city and road.

The MHEV system’s electric motor offers additional support of up to 6.6 kgfm in times of greatest demand. The technology does not allow it to run only in electric mode, but contributes to smoothness in daily operations. The six-speed automatic transmission remains the same in T270-equipped configurations.

Blackhawk flex and performance maintenance

Version Blackhawk of Commander 2027 adopts the 2.0 turbo engine Hurricane in flex version. The engine continues to deliver 272 horsepower and 40.8 kgfm of torque, even with the possibility of using ethanol. Essa configuration follows the pattern already seen in other Stellantis models, such as Compass Blackhawk and RAM Rampage R/T.

Jeep reduced the suggested price of Blackhawk by R$6,500. The current value starts at R$329,990. The brand highlights that the sports performance of the top-of-the-line configuration remains preserved.

Commander 2027 versions and price list

The 2027 line maintains a clear version structure focusing on different usage profiles. The entry-level version Longitude uses the T270 engine without the MHEV system. The intermediate and top configurations incorporate the announced new features.

The Overland 2.2-liter turbodiesel continues to be available with 4×4 drive. Essa option preserves 200 horsepower and 45.9 kgfm of torque for those who prioritize towing capacity and use on unpaved roads.

  • Jeep Commander Longitude T270: R$ 228,790
  • Jeep Commander Limited MHEV T270: R$ 255,690
  • Jeep Commander Overland MHEV T270: R$ 283,790
  • Jeep Commander Overland 2.2 Turbodiesel 4×4: R$ 319,990
  • Jeep Commander Blackhawk flex: R$ 329,990

Fiscal and operational benefits of MHEV versions

Versions with a mild-hybrid system of the Commander 2027 can benefit from incentives in six Brazilian states. The discount or exemption on IPVA varies according to local legislation and can represent savings of up to R$9,000 in some cases.

In the city of São Paulo, owners of these configurations also enjoy exemption from municipal rotation. Esses Benefits encourage the adoption of technologies that reduce environmental impact without requiring specific charging infrastructure.

Maintaining the capacity of the seven-seater SUV

The Commander 2027 preserves important features for families and versatile use. The interior space for seven occupants, the large trunk and comfort features remain unchanged in the new engines. The brand reinforces the balance between efficiency and practicality in the medium SUV segment.

Safety equipment such as autonomous braking, lane keeping assistant and six airbags continue to be present in all versions. The traction and suspension system maintains its known behavior on both asphalt and uneven terrain.

Technical details of the mild-hybrid system

The 48-volt MHEV replaces the traditional alternator with an integrated electrical machine. Essa solution allows instant support for the combustion engine without adding excessive weight to the vehicle. The low-capacity battery stores energy recovered during braking and deceleration.

Jeep informs that the set operates automatically, without driver intervention. The focus is on optimizing urban use, where electrical assistance reduces the effort of the thermal engine during frequent starts and stops.
