Sporting wastes a 2-0 lead and draws with Tondela 2-2 in Alvalade

Sporting hosted Tondela on the evening of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Estádio José Alvalade. The lions built a two-goal lead but saw the result slip away in stoppage time. The final score was 2-2.

Luis Suárez opened the scoring in the 62nd minute. Tondela increased their own deficit in the 78th with an own goal. Nos added time, however, the visiting team tied with two goals in a row. The result complicates Sporting’s fight for second place in Liga Portugal.

Suárez unlocks the game after initial pressure
