Pearl Abyss has released update 1.05.00 for Deserto Carmesim, adding two key features aimed at players who have already eliminated all threat from the open world of Pywel. Revanche mode offers the possibility of refighting against the game’s 69 bosses, while Rebloqueio will repopulate conquered fortresses with new enemies. Ambos systems arrive as a direct solution to a problem complained about by the community: regions that are too peaceful after completing combat content.

Pearl Abyss acknowledged the scenario in an official statement. “As more regions of the continent were liberated, combat opportunities naturally became less frequent,” explained the developer. “So to maintain the sense of challenge, we added content from Revanche and Rebloqueio.” The two systems work in an integrated manner, offering total control to the player over how to play intense combat replays.

Revanche in two modes for all progression

The Revanche mode, accessed through Fragmentos and Memória located in locations where bosses have been defeated, offers two distinct approaches. In Reminiscência mode, the boss appears exactly as it was in the first encounter, preserving its original attributes and attack patterns. Já the Ressonância modality adjusts the enemy’s attributes to follow the player’s progress, scaling the difficulty according to their evolution. When shining the flashlight at the location of a previous boss encounter, reading the memory fragment automatically starts the challenge.

Consumable items used during the rematch are restored at the end of the battle, avoiding resource penalties. The system does not grant additional loot in both modes, keeping the focus on the pure challenge of combat. Qualquer one of three playable characters (Kliff, Oongka, Damiane) can participate in rematches, allowing you to test different fighting styles against the same opponent. Pearl Abyss has indicated that it will continue to refine these features in future updates, with plans to expand the depth of the mechanics.

Rebloqueio with three frequencies for total control

The Rebloqueio works through three frequency modes, all accessible in the gameplay settings. Cada mode offers a different level of returning enemies to conquered fortresses:

  • Estável: Nenhum new lockdown occurs, keeping strongholds peaceful
  • Conflito(default): Inimigos return intermittently, balancing action and tranquility
  • Guerra: Novos locks occur frequently, bringing constant threat of combat

Durante o Rebloqueio, 13 different factions will carry out attacks on 23 forts and quarries spread across Pywel. The frequency change only takes effect after all previously scheduled reblocks are initiated, avoiding abrupt changes. Blocks are reapplied after loading screens, such as when saving and loading or when sleeping in a bed, creating dynamic combat cycles. Jogadores who want constant bloodshed can max out to Guerra mode, while those who have finished the game can leave it at Estável for leisurely exploration.

Legendary Criaturas and extensive patch fixes

Além of the two main systems, the update adds two new captureable legendary creatures: the iron Águia and the blue Arara. A third creature, Javali Deus from Montanha, also makes its debut in the game, appearing under certain progress conditions. A new disguise store has been implemented, expanding appearance customization options. Equipment items also gained a second store with new additions, including Botas from Placa Relâmpago, accessible after defeating Titã and equipping Anel from Relâmpago.

The update fixed an issue affecting legendary mounts that would die immediately after summoning under certain conditions. A second critical issue that caused teammate trust to reset after previous updates has also been resolved. Interações of pet geese and ducks have received new mechanics (Carregar, Abaixar, Acariciar), while garden harvesting has been adjusted to ensure a minimum of two harvests per planting, regardless of fertilizer or water.

Comunidade reacts positively to the return of the challenge

Jogadores responded enthusiastically to the patch release on the game’s social media channels. One user stated, “After finishing the main story and defeating all the bosses, I really want to face enemies and kill them.” Outro mentioned relief regarding the progress: “Now I can finally tackle several remaining side quests without worrying about missing Abismo Selado’s challenges or having to find them first.” A third emphasized his preference for combat: “I’m definitely going to put everything in Guerra mode. Combat with regular enemies is the best part of the game, so I’m looking forward to more.”

Future Planos Expands Dynamic Combat Scope

Pearl Abyss has signaled an ongoing roadmap to scale up both systems. The number of factions participating in Rebloqueio will gradually increase, as will the number of strongholds and quarries targeted. Enemies that appear during reblocks will receive adjustments to “pose a much greater threat”, increasing the difficulty level. The developer also intends to “improve the overall system of Libertação and Rebloqueio”, suggesting a possible more complex strategic layer in future updates.

Deserto Carmesim continues its accelerated evolution since its launch in March. The 1.05.00 update also represented hundreds of bug fixes, graphical improvements and control tweaks spread throughout the game, touching systems such as boss-specific combat, movement physics, sound quality and localization in multiple languages.
