Total solar eclipse crosses the territory of Spain in August 2026 and boosts the astronomical tourism sector

The total solar eclipse scheduled for August 12, 2026 will cross Espanha from west to east. The astronomical phenomenon will occur in the late afternoon, creating a specific visual configuration. The band of absolute darkness will pass through dozens of municipalities and several provincial capitals in the European country. Sol will be positioned low on the horizon during the event.
