The sixth season of Impuros arrived on Disney+ last Friday with ten new chapters released simultaneously in the platform’s catalog. The Brazilian crime drama, starring Raphael Logam, resumes the trajectory of Evandro’s Dendê in the underworld of Rio’s drug trafficking in the 1990s, this time focusing on a revenge plan that moves the entire plot.
The new episodes explore the consequences of an attack on Evandro’s family, leading the character to act with calculated coldness to protect his dominance in Comando. Paralelamente, Playboy appears, an ambitious and wealthy rival who threatens Evandro’s position. Do on the other hand, police officer Morello forms an unusual alliance with his daughter Inês, Afonso and former militia police officers, creating new fronts of confrontation marked by conflicting interests.
The production and direction of the sixth season
The sixth season was signed by directors Tatiana Fragoso, responsible for Amor of Minha Vida, and Tomás Portella, who directed Operações Especiais. Impuros is freely inspired by real events of Rio’s organized crime, especially in the story of Fernando Gomes of Freitas, known as Fernandinho Guarabu, who was a drug leader in Morro of Dendê during the 2000s and 2010s.
