Lancia officially presented the Nuova Lancia Gamma, a new model that marks the brand’s expansion in the compact SUV segment. The vehicle is built on the STLA Medium platform, the same used by the Peugeot E-3008, and measures 4.67 meters long, 1.89 meters wide and 1.66 meters high. Estará available in hybrid and 100% electric version, with production scheduled for the Melfi factory, at Itália. Sales are expected to begin after summer 2026.

Autonomia and power of engine versions

The hybrid Lancia Gamma promises a range of more than 1,000 kilometers in the WLTP cycle, unprecedented information released by the Stellantis brand for a model with a combustion engine. The HEV version offers a power of 107 kW (145 hp), being the least powerful in the line. Electric alternatives significantly surpass these numbers in performance and battery range.

The 3 configurations of the electric Gamma have different autonomy:

  • 180 kW (245 hp) Motor with front-wheel drive: over 740 km WLTP
  • Motor 276 kW (375 hp) with all-wheel drive: up to 675 km WLTP
  • 169 kW (230 hp) Motor with front-wheel drive: 540 km WLTP

Capacidades battery and architecture

Capacity data can be estimated by the STLA Medium platform framework, based on the Peugeot configurator. The largest battery operates with approximately 102 kWh (useful 97 kWh), while the intermediate version has around 77 kWh (useful 73 kWh). Final specifications will be confirmed in the coming months, when the model is fully available on the market. Atualmente, Gamma does not appear in the Peugeot online configurator, indicating that commercialization has not yet been released for pre-configuration to the public.

Produção, markets and availability

The new Lancia Gamma will be manufactured exclusively in Melfi, located in the Basilicata region, south of Itália. The brand’s commercial strategy prioritizes its main European markets, excluding Polônia from the initial distribution plan. Customer deliveries are expected to begin after the 2026 summer period, with additional details on pricing, equipment packages and availability dates expected to be announced by Stellantis in the coming months.
