Suspect of throwing woman off cliff already had a record for threats against the victim and app passenger

Ana Cláudia Rodrigues Souza, 41 years old, was found alive on the second day of searches after being kidnapped and thrown off a cliff by Araújo’s ex-partner Silvanildo Amâncio, 52 years old, in Serra of Rola-Moça, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The rescue took place on Tuesday (26), around 1:20 pm, with the help of a helicopter and teams from Corpo, Bombeiros Militar, and Minas Gerais. The victim remained missing since Monday.

Conforme information from the police report provided to CNN Brasil by Itatiaia, the couple had a 12-year relationship and had a 9-year-old daughter. According to the victim, she had been stalked and threatened by her ex-partner since February this year.
