Woman simulates ordering pizza when calling police and attacker is arrested in SP

A woman victim of domestic violence managed to save herself by simulating an order for pizza during a call to 190 on Friday night (23) on Jardim São Francisco, on Zona Sul from São Paulo. The Polícia Militar attendant identified the encrypted distress call, obtained the address and immediately called teams from the 37th Batalhão of Polícia Militar Metropolitano.

The victim reported that her partner threatened her, pushed her against the wall and tried to force her to have sexual intercourse against her will, all in front of the couple’s 3-year-old daughter. The victim ordered chicken pizza with catupiry and mozzarella with bacon, while the police asked questions about the address and delivery instructions. At a crucial moment, the woman asked to be notified when the “moto courier” arrived, claiming that her house was at the back of the property.

The Polícia Militar teams went to the location and made telephone contact stating that “the pizza had arrived”. Naquele moment, the victim left the property very nervous and shaking. Ela was approached by the police, who listened to her full account of the attacks and threats she had suffered.

Dentro from the residence, the police located a .38 caliber revolver with a suppressed number and 5 intact ammunition. The man tried to leave the property with a backpack, helmet and some clothes, but was detained by police before he could leave.

The case was registered at the 47th Distrito Policial. The crimes for which the attacker remained imprisoned are:

• Lesão body in the context of domestic violence
• Ameaça and psychological violence against women
• Dano material
• Perigo for the life or health of others
• Posse illegal firearm

The couple’s daughter, just 3 years old, witnessed the entire attack and suffered physical injuries when the fragments of the mirror hit her eyes. The child was referred to Hospital M’Boi Mirim for evaluation and hospitalization, according to the protocol for treating victims of domestic violence involving minors.

The incident reinforces the seriousness of cases of domestic violence involving children in the same environment, putting not only the mother at risk, but also minor children who witness the episodes of aggression. The military police have specific guidance to prioritize these cases during emergency care.
