The final decision rests with Honda. Cecchinello wishes to continue the project with the satellite team, but recognizes that the Japanese brand has the last word on a possible transfer to the factory team.
Cecchinello highlights 20-year partnership
Lucio Cecchinello gave an interview to the official MotoGP microphones. The Italian highlighted his long relationship with Honda.
“We’ve been working in partnership with Honda for 20 years. Atualmente we have basically the same material, the same parts, so there’s really no difference between the factory team and LCR,” he said.
