Illan Castronovo, influencer and former participant in television programs such asLes Anges e Les Marseillais, was charged with rape. The decision by the Blois judicial court took place on April 13, 2026, according to the local Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The complaints came from two young women from the Loir-et-Cher department, identified as Camille* and Alexia*. The reported facts date back to 2018, during a party at a nightclub in the city of Fougères-sur-Bièvre. The women claim to have lost consciousness after consuming a drink offered by Castronovo.
Four years passed between the recording of the complaints and the formalization of the accusation. The information was initially revealed by the Mediapart website this Tuesday (9). The two complainants celebrated the progress of the case.
Blois prosecutor Stéphane Javet confirmed the date of the indictment to AFP. Castronovo, now 32 years old, fully disputes the accusations. His lawyer, David Decharron, reported that the investigating judge removed the aggravating factor of administering substances from the charge.
Background to the allegations
The two young women filed a complaint in 2022. The initial revelation of the case also came from a Mediapart report at the time. Since then, the case has progressed until it reached the formal indictment stage.
Illan Castronovo gained visibility in the 2010s by participating in several reality show attractions on French television. In recent years, he has built a career as a digital influencer and has even gotten involved in MMA competitions.
Other previous charges
Castronovo’s name has already appeared in other reports related to sexual assaults involving participants from the same television channel. He has systematically denied all accusations made against him over time.
The case remains in the investigation phase in French justice.
