Nintendo revealed this Tuesday (9) new details aboutSplatoon Raiders, the single-player spin-off of the series, during the Nintendo Direct. The game, exclusive to Switch 2, arrives on July 23rd.
The title, which mixes third-person shooter elements with mechanics reminiscent of Salmon Run, received a new gameplay section. Furthermore, the company confirmed an exclusive Nintendo Direct for the game on June 30th, where more content should be presented.
To maintain the hype until launch, Nintendo will publish comics sporadically on the Nintendo Today! app, showing the events leading up to the game. A themed SplatfestRaiderswas also announced for Splatoon 3, between July 10th and 12th.
New colorful Joy-Con 2
As part of the marketing strategy, the Japanese manufacturer will launch a new variant of the Joy-Con 2 in blue and yellow along with the game, on July 23. The design follows the creative line of previous pastel models, offering a different visual option than the standard pair.
Splatoon Raidersis the first spin-off in the franchise and the fourth main title in the series. The launch takes place just over a year after the initial announcement, in June 2025, and reinforces the Switch 2 catalog for the summer of 2026, alongside other releases such as Star Fox and Rhythm Heaven Groove.
