Gisele Bündchen appeared with a powerful look in a shoot for the summer edition of W Magazine. At 45 years old, the Brazilian supermodel shared images on social media in which she wears a black Gucci dress with a generous slit that reaches above her butt, eliminating the need for underwear.
The production marks her return to the cover of the North American publication after 19 years. The last time was in 2007. In total, this is the 15th time that Gisele has appeared in the magazine’s edition.
In the interview with W, the model spoke about the freedom she feels today when posing. She highlighted that, over time, she learned to deal with the image creation process and the importance of feeling comfortable in her own skin.
“When I was younger, I often asked myself if I was doing enough or if I was doing it right,” he recalled. After more than 30 years in front of the camera, Gisele says she now better understands how confidence influences the final result of photos.
The rehearsal brought together a team she has worked with in the past, which made the day special. She described the environment as full of creative energy and fun.
‘Sexy model’ label
Gisele also commented on the 1999 cover, when she was called “the return of the sexy model”. For her, sensuality has always been something natural linked to confidence and health, and not a projected image.
“Confidence and health can naturally manifest as sensuality, but for me it was never about projecting an image — I was simply myself,” she explained.
She recalled initial rejections early in her career and how it helped build resilience. Instead of basing his self-esteem on the opinions of others, he learned to value his vitality and personality.
What changed in your career
At 45 years old, Gisele is experiencing a moment of greater autonomy in her professional choices. After a more reserved period, she has resumed campaigns and editorials with luxury brands, prioritizing projects that match her current lifestyle.
His trajectory helped influence fashion standards in the 2000s, bringing a healthier, more athletic and energetic look in contrast to previous trends. Today, it reinforces the message of acceptance and authenticity.
The shoot with looks from brands such as Gucci, Celine and Miu Miu, photographed by Karim Sadli, celebrates this mature phase of her career.
