The Honor Magic V6 hits the market as a significant evolution of foldable smartphones, combining minimal thickness, reinforced durability and a battery that surpasses most competitors in the category.
The device maintains the refined look of the Magic V line, but brings concrete improvements that position it as one of the most advanced in the segment in 2026. With a thickness of just 4.0 mm when opened in the white model and weighing from 219 g, it remains light and portable, even with top-end hardware.
Stronger construction and water protection
Honor has raised the bar on durability. The Magic V6 received IP68 and IP69 certification, which guarantees total resistance to dust and high-pressure water jets, as well as submersion of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The hinge was reinforced and the internal screen gained greater protection against impacts, with a reduction of up to 44% in the fold depth compared to the previous model.
Available in four colors (white, black, gold and red), the rear finish varies depending on the version, and the device supports stylus pens on both screens.
Premium screens with anti-reflective coating
The foldable internal screen measures 7.95 inches with LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel, resolution of 2172×2352 pixels, rate of 120 Hz, peak brightness of 5,000 nits and anti-reflective coating with silicon nitride technology, similar to that used in luxury car windows. The external one has grown to 6.52 inches, also LTPO 2.0, with 1,080×2,420 pixels and brightness of up to 6,000 nits.
Both offer good visibility in outdoor environments and practically imperceptible creases in daily use.
Flagship performance with advanced cooling
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 acts as the main engine, accompanied by up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain stable performance even in demanding tasks. The software runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10, which includes AI features and cross-platform integration, with a promise of up to seven years of major updates.
Versatile cameras and game-changing battery life
The photographic set features a 50 MP main sensor with stabilization, a 64 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. Selfies use 20 MP sensors on each screen. The big highlight is the battery: 6,660 mAh in the global version, with a capacity that can reach 7,150 mAh in Chinese models with greater storage.
Charging reaches 80W wired and 66W wireless, plus reverse support. Honor promises up to 24 hours of use on the large screen, an important advance for those who use the foldable as a tablet replacement.
Unboxing and first practical details
The packaging includes the device, USB-C cable, protective cover with stand and protective films on the screens. In Europe, the charger is not included, it is recommended to use original Honor accessories for maximum speed. The slim design and solid construction impress from the first touch.
What changes in practice for the user
For those looking for a foldable that doesn’t make concessions in autonomy or resistance, the Magic V6 reduces several historical limitations in the category. The combination of a larger battery, advanced protection and elite performance could make the device a more viable option for intense daily use, especially compared to previous models from Honor itself and rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.
