Spider-Man: A New Day pre-sales exceed expectations and dominate the year 2026
The film “Spider-Man: A New Day” secured the most successful position in pre-sales in 2026, according to data released by Fandango. The production surpassed other big bets, including “Odyssey”, “The Mandalorian” and “Grogu and the Star Eaters”, demonstrating strong public interest.
The stubborn man’s new adventure also earned a place among the top ten titles in advance sales of all time on the platform, along with hits like “Avengers: Endgame” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” Furthermore, information indicates that the work achieved the fourth highest sales volume on the day of release on all available platforms.
Understand the impact of strong demand for Spider-Man: A New Day tickets in the US
Although it is premature to predict the initial revenue, projections suggest that amounts less than US$200 million in the United States would be unexpected. The film has great potential to become the biggest hit of 2026, with “Avengers: Doctor Doom” being its main competitor. However, performance outside the country may face challenges due to public saturation with the superhero universe, and the Chinese market, historically crucial for major releases, is no longer a predictable source of revenue for Western productions, in a global scenario of changing public preferences.

The film’s cast will once again feature Tom Holland in the lead role, Jacob Batalon as Ned and Zendaya playing MJ. Among the new appearances, Sadie Sink, known for “Stranger Things”, stands out in a role that has not yet been revealed, but with strong speculation that she will play Jean Grey.
Jon Bernthal is also confirmed, bringing the Punisher for his first appearance in Marvel films. Mark Ruffalo joins the cast as Hulk and, for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), will transform into the Gray Hulk version, presented as a more robust and threatening figure.
The official synopsis for “Um Novo Dia” has been revealed, placing the narrative four years after the events of “Sem Volta Para Casa”. Peter Parker now lives as a lonely adult, having erased his presence from the memories of his loved ones. He dedicates himself entirely to fighting crime in a New York that no longer remembers his name, acting as Spider-Man full time. However, his increased responsibilities bring about an unexpected physical change that puts his very existence at risk, while a series of unusual crimes point to the emergence of one of the most formidable threats he has ever faced.
The project is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”. Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna, responsible for the script for “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, also wrote the text for the next feature.
