Brazilian team prepares for duel against Scotland with Alisson rested and Neymar returns to training
The Brazilian team was on the field in the early afternoon of this Monday, in New Jersey. Under the command of Carlo Ancelotti, a group of 24 athletes carried out training focused on the match against Scotland, scheduled for next Wednesday. This clash is valid for the third round of Group C of the World Cup. Goalkeeper Alisson did not participate in the activities on the pitch, being spared for load control and carrying out specific work in the gym.
Striker Raphinha was a notable absence. He left the victorious match against Haiti with an injury to his right thigh and is therefore out of the clash against the Scots. In contrast, Neymar, the team’s number 10, joined the work normally with the rest of the group, as had already happened on Sunday. The player has fully recovered from a calf problem and has been cleared to play.

To fill the gap left by Raphinha, coach Carlo Ancelotti is evaluating different options. Luiz Henrique, Rayan and Endrick appear as the main alternatives for the position. In addition to them, Gabriel Martinelli, who usually plays on the left wing, has also been tested by the coach on the right side of the attack.
The situation in Group C shows Brazil tied with Morocco, both with four points. Scotland follows closely behind with three points, while Haiti is already eliminated without having scored. This configuration makes it possible for the final classification of the group to be determined by tiebreaker criteria, such as direct confrontation, goal difference, number of goals scored and cards. Leading the group is crucial to avoid stronger opponents in the knockout stages, guaranteeing a potentially more favorable seeding later in the tournament.
The team will face Scotland at 7pm (Brasília time) next Wednesday, in Miami. At the same time, Morocco and Haiti will also meet on the field, but in Atlanta, defining the other positions in the group.
