Samsung confirms Galaxy M47 date and highlights promise of powerful battery with six years of support
Samsung has made the arrival date of its new device, the Galaxy M47, official. The smartphone will be presented to the public on the 29th, with a strong focus on high performance, robustness and a long useful life expectancy. Furthermore, the device will come equipped with a 120 Hz Super AMOLED screen, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and a guarantee of up to six years of support for its software, a notable differentiator in the market.
One of the Galaxy M47’s highlights is its 6.7-inch screen, which uses Super AMOLED technology. With a refresh rate of 120 Hz, the display ensures more fluid and responsive images, optimizing the user experience during browsing, watching videos and gaming sessions.
The smartphone’s panel features advanced Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, designed to offer up to four times more resistance against scratches and withstand drops of up to two meters. The South Korean manufacturer also ensured that the device has water and dust resistance certification, raising its level of durability and resilience, a promise of longevity rarely seen in models in its category.
Optimized performance for gaming and multitasking
Although Samsung has not officially announced the processor that will power the Galaxy M47, speculation points to the presence of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. This chip should be complemented by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. This combination promises greater agility in opening applications, efficient multitasking capacity and improved performance for games, elevating the user experience.
Another innovative feature is Bypass Charging. This technology was developed to reduce the device’s overheating during intense use, especially during gaming sessions. The system is powered directly by electrical current, without overloading the battery, contributing to the preservation of the component.
The Galaxy M47 will also have a triple rear camera system. The setup will include a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone will feature a 12 MP front camera. Its long-lasting battery will support fast charging of up to 45 W.
The smartphone will be launched with the One UI 8.5 interface, based on Android 16, and will receive six generations of operating system updates, in addition to six years of security updates. This level of extended support is a notable differentiator, on par with devices from more premium segments and ensuring that the device remains up to date and secure for a period unusual for mid-range smartphones. The confirmed color options are intense red (Rogue Red) and vibrant blue (Blaze Blue).
The Samsung Galaxy M47 hits the market as a robust alternative for those looking for a well-balanced smartphone designed to offer durability over the years, promising a prolonged usage experience with a focus on performance and continuous updates.
