Nego Di receives a new sentence of more than 14 years in prison for illegal raffles, fraud and money laundering in Rio Grande do Sul
The Rio Grande do Sul court handed down a sentence this Tuesday (23) that sentences the digital influencer and former Big Brother Brasil participant, Dilson Alves da Silva Neto, known as Nego Di, to 14 years and 6 months in prison. The crimes that led to the sentence are embezzlement, qualified money laundering and use of a false document.
In addition to the main penalty, the court decision includes a sentence of 1 year and 15 days in simple prison, to be served in a semi-open regime, for promoting illegal lottery. So far, the comedian’s defense team has not commented on the conviction.
This sentence is the result of an in-depth investigation that revealed the organization of electronic raffles without due legal authorization, which took place between November 2022 and May 2024.
Details of the investigation into raffles and prizes
According to investigations by the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul, the comedian promoted at least 34 draws that were widely publicized on his social networks. It offered cash prizes and high-value goods, encouraging the purchase of tickets. Among the items on offer was a Porsche Macan, estimated at around R$500,000, in addition to cash prizes totaling approximately R$650,000.
In his deliberation, judge Ricardo Petry refuted the defense’s argument that the couple had no knowledge of the illegality of the activities. Regarding the luxury vehicle raffle, the judge stated that Dilson never intended to deliver the announced prize, concluding that the victims were deceived by a fraudulent act.

Fraud in the concealment of assets and the use of false documents
According to the indictment, the scheme generated losses of more than R$185,000 for at least 9,683 participants. The investigation also indicated that Nego Di and his wife, Gabriela Vicente de Sousa, had hidden more than R$2.4 million through transfers to third-party accounts, other banking operations and the acquisition of various assets.
Among the assets identified as part of the illicit assets were luxury cars and properties located in Porto Alegre, Serra Gaúcha and on the state’s coast. Gabriela, the influencer’s wife, was sentenced to 8 years and 4 months in prison under a closed regime, exclusively for the crime of money laundering.
Another crucial fact considered by the Court was the publication of a Pix receipt on social media that supposedly indicated a donation of R$1 million to the victims of the floods that devastated Rio Grande do Sul in 2024. According to the Public Ministry, the document was forged, and the actual transfer made was only R$100, the basis for the conviction for using a false document.
The influencer’s history of legal problems
This new conviction adds to a series of legal complications faced by the influencer. In June 2025, Nego Di had already been sentenced to 11 years and 8 months in prison for embezzlement in a separate case, related to the operation of an online store called Tadizuera.
The investigation into the store revealed that the website promoted the sale of products at attractive prices, below market value, but systematically failed to deliver the goods to consumers. The estimated loss to the victims exceeded the R$5 million mark.
Previously, Nego Di was detained preventively for more than four months in 2024. However, he was provisionally released by decision of the Superior Court of Justice and had been responding to the proceedings under precautionary measures.
