Millie Bobby Brown expresses strong opinion about fan theories regarding the outcome of Stranger Things
The Stranger Things series left an indelible mark on its generation and redefined Netflix’s trajectory, with its long-awaited outcome generating great impact. This repercussion of the closure was not limited to spectators, it also deeply affected the actors. Millie Bobby Brown, interpreter of the famous character Eleven, expressed her unconditional defense of the end of her journey in the production, addressing fans with a blunt request for them to “shut up” about disagreements or expectations of an alternative outcome.
Actress’s repercussions about saying goodbye to the iconic role
During her recent appearance on the popular program The Tonight Show, hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the artist recalled the period of mourning she experienced after the end of recording. She revealed that she had worn black clothing throughout her promotional schedule, symbolizing her regret at saying goodbye to the character that made her famous.
“People constantly ask me ‘what’s going to happen?’ and I think: ‘She dies. She dies. She dies. She dies,'” declared Brown, revealing the difficulty of dealing with speculation. “It’s a challenging situation because that’s the only thing that comes to mind. I wore black throughout the entire press tour as a way to express my grief for her.”
The artist’s belief in Eleven’s definitive conclusion
Addressing the audience in Fallon’s studio, Brown asked, “Do you really believe this?” She emphasized the need for acceptance: “It is essential that you believe. For my own sanity, I need this belief. It was an extremely arduous process to say goodbye to such a remarkable production that changed the course of my life permanently.”
The actress added, stating that “this situation impacted us deeply. However, for me, it was crucial to have this conviction. If I couldn’t believe it, it would be impossible to assimilate the farewell. It remains alive somewhere.”
Jimmy Fallon then brought up admirers’ persistent theory about an additional epilogue, commenting: “And about the ending… They insist, ‘It’s not the definitive ending. There is an extra ending.'” Brown’s response was immediate and emphatic: “Oh my God, shut up!” Watch below:
