2026 World Cup: the duels in the second phase of the round of 16 begin to be confirmed
The 2026 World Cup enters a new decisive phase with the consolidation of the first matches of the round of 32, an innovative stage that precedes the round of 16. This knockout phase, which marks the advancement of the tournament expanded to 48 teams, already has its initial duel and Brazil’s guaranteed participation against Japan.
The portal will continue to update information about other clashes, as the teams advance and the duels are officially established by the organization of the global event.
The kickoff for this knockout round will take place on Sunday, June 28, at 4pm (local time), in the city of Los Angeles. The classification rules allow the top two in each group to move on, joining the eight best third-placed teams in the general table.
