Neymar’s persistence results in the acquisition of DJ Marlboro’s mansion in Mangaratiba via property exchange
Determination was confirmed as a striking feature in Neymar’s career off the field. The player completed the expansion of his luxury property portfolio in Mangaratiba, on Rio de Janeiro’s Costa Verde, after long negotiations. The neighbor, DJ Marlboro, ceded his property to the Brazilian national team star, accepting an agreement to exchange assets, despite initial resistance to a cash offer.
In an interview with Retratos da Vida, the Brazilian funk pioneer reported that he accepted the Santos athlete’s proposal after Neymar presented a stunning beach house, with direct access to the sand. The turnaround in the funk singer’s decision was driven by his four children.
“There came a time when he realized that money wouldn’t make me leave there, so he started offering me residences. He showed me a house by the sea. I told my children: ‘Let’s see a property that Neymar wants to give you’. When we arrived, they immediately started choosing their rooms. They said that it would be the ideal house to live in as a teenager”, detailed the DJ.
Details of DJ Marlboro’s previous residence in Mangaratiba
Marlboro’s initial refusal to negotiate his former property was due to his strong memories and appreciation for the home he built himself, where his sons Samuel, Antônio, Felipe and Arthur grew up. The DJ has been living in his new home since the end of last year.
“I believe that our conversations surpassed the initial offer. This house on the beach is something I never imagined owning. If you asked me, I would say it is the most beautiful in the region. It is an imposing property, right on the sand, and has four floors…”, described Marlboro.
Despite the extended period of negotiation with Neymar, the funk player admitted that his neighbor did not give in easily: “I’m afraid he wants to buy this one again (laughs). He was really very persistent.”
Features of Neymar’s mansion in Mangaratiba
Neymar’s summer property in Mangaratiba resembles a private resort. Known as “Neylândia”, the residence has sports courts, several swimming pools, a wine cellar with capacity for three thousand bottles, an underground nightclub, an airstrip, a helipad and an artificial lake, which previously generated legal problems for the player. This mansion is one of the striker’s favorites, where he spends much of his days, alternating with his new property in Morro Santa Terezinha, a luxury area in Santos.

The construction of the artificial lake, which was featured in a landscaping reality show, was subject to embargoes due to several environmental and legal irregularities.
