74-year-old man dies in head-on accident on BR-153 in Rio dos Bois; another driver is injured
A serious traffic accident on BR-153, in the municipality of Rio dos Bois, Tocantins, resulted in the death of a 74-year-old driver this Tuesday (30). The violent head-on collision involved a pickup truck and a cargo vehicle, leaving another driver with minor injuries.
The incident happened around 4pm, specifically at kilometer 397 of the federal highway. Police authorities reported that the driver of the truck did not survive his injuries, and his death was confirmed at the scene of the incident. The other person involved, a 40-year-old man who was driving the truck, was rescued with minor injuries.

Rescue teams are mobilized after the collision
As soon as the impact was registered, several emergency teams were called and quickly moved to the area of the accident. Professionals from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) provided first aid, while the Military Police and Fire Department worked to ensure safety at the site and assist with the procedures.
To remove the body of the fatal victim, the Legal Medical Institute (IML) also attended. During the work of the rescue and forensic teams, the section of BR-153 affected by the accident was completely blocked, generating significant impacts on the flow of vehicles.
