An inexplicable intuition guided a North Carolina resident to buy a lottery ticket, resulting in a $1 million scratch-off prize. The winner attributes his luck to a “mysterious instinct” that directed him to choose that specific ticket, changing his life financially.
Everett Cooper, who lives in Marston, told North Carolina Education Lottery representatives that when he visited the CAPL Retail store on South Main Street in Laurinburg, a specific “Cashword King” scratch-off ticket costing $10 piqued his interest. The North Carolina Education Lottery, known for directing part of its revenue to tuition and student assistance programs in the state, recorded another big winner in this case.
“Something told me to buy that ticket,” said Cooper, describing a peculiar “feeling” that prompted him to buy it.
Cooper revealed that he had previously purchased other crossword-type tickets.
“I enjoy the experience of drinking a coffee, playing calmly and enjoying the moment while I sweep”, explained the lucky guy.
The ticket he most recently purchased was, in fact, the one that won the top prize of 1 million dollars.
Mr. Cooper mentioned that he plans to allocate the amount received to support both his family and his religious community, through the church he attends.
