Cruzeiro strengthens attack with Gabriel Pec, ex-Los Angeles Galaxy, on five-season contract
Cruzeiro confirmed, last Tuesday (7), the arrival of striker Gabriel Pec. The athlete sealed a five-year agreement with the celestial team. Revealed in Vasco da Gama’s youth categories, the winger played for the Los Angeles Galaxy, in the United States, two seasons ago, in Major League Soccer (MLS). With the North American team, he lifted the league trophy and, at one point, achieved individual marks higher than those of Lionel Messi.
Gabriel Pec arrived in Belo Horizonte the previous Sunday (5), where he underwent medical examinations before formalizing his contract with Cruzeiro. Upon his arrival at Confins airport, the player highlighted the quality of the Minas Gerais club’s group of athletes.

The striker expressed his satisfaction with the move to Cruzeiro. “I’m very happy to arrive at Cruzeiro. I’ve received a lot of love from the fans since the beginning of the negotiations. Cruzeiro is a huge club, with a huge fan base, it’s competing in major competitions with a very strong squad, full of stars, so I think I can fit in to help Cruzeiro”, stated the new signing.

In 2025, the striker recorded 15 goal appearances across 40 games. In 2026, he had an even more promising start to the season in North America, reaching 15 goal appearances in just 20 matches played.
