A tragic incident claimed the life of a Brazilian army sergeant during a military training maneuver this Tuesday morning (7). The incident occurred in Santa Maria, located in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul, and despite the fatality, five other members of the operation were promptly rescued.

The body of the young soldier will be buried in his hometown this Wednesday (8). Nícolas had been in the Army for two years and had been serving in Santa Maria for five months.
