Microsoft has officially announced the list of new features coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service during the month of July, bringing a mix of nostalgia and strong independent titles. According to Megan Spurr, executive responsible for the platform’s community, users will have access to completely remade classics and long-awaited updates that promise to move the community forward in the coming weeks.

Titles that can now be downloaded by subscribers

Those who have the Ultimate, Premium plans or the computer version can now start their journey in Winds of Arcana: Ruination. The work focuses on the Metroidvania style with a 2.5D perspective and puts the player in control of the protagonist Aryn, who needs to use ancient spells to explore fragmented scenarios, rescue lost allies and understand the mysteries of a collapsing universe.

Release calendar scheduled for the month of July

From July 9th, nostalgia takes over with the arrival of Gears of War: Reloaded in the Premium, Ultimate and PC packages. The franchise, which redefined third-person shooters and helped consolidate the success of the Xbox 360, returns with visuals remade in the Unreal Engine to take advantage of the current hardware, also delivering extra maps for multiplayer mode and an additional chapter in the main campaign.

On the same date, the catalog receives Tamashika’s adrenaline. The title brings back the essence of classic arcades with shooting mechanics that require quick reflexes and absolute precision, forcing competitors to survive in constantly changing arenas while trying to maintain focus amidst the visual chaos.

On July 13th, Ultimate and PC Game Pass members will receive Ascend to Zero on its first day of global launch. The roguelike action adventure transports the audience to a post-apocalyptic scenario, where the main combat mechanics involve the ability to control the flow of time to overcome opponents and climb to the top of a mysterious structure.

The sport gains ground on July 14th with the debut of PBA Pro Bowling 2026, released for all main subscription categories. The simulator promises to deliver the most faithful bowling alley experience ever developed, incorporating an improved physics system and a career mode that simulates the trajectory of a professional athlete in the official league.

The tension increases on July 15, when Quarantine Zone: The Last Check also starts to run on consoles and via the cloud. The premise places the user in the management of a health barrier in a metropolis infested by the undead, requiring difficult decisions about who can enter, how to ration scarce supplies and how to contain the spread of the lethal infection.

Extreme sports enthusiasts will be able to explore the virtual environment of Mavrix by Matt Jones from July 16th. Created with the advice of the famous professional cyclist, the project offers a vast map to pedal without restrictions, compete in races against other participants online and evolve within the competitive bicycle scene.

Cooperation is key in FixForce, scheduled for July 17th. The platform work focuses on resource extraction on a planet where humanity has disappeared, allowing up to six friends to control worker robots who need to manufacture equipment and build makeshift bridges to complete complex maintenance.

Exclusive to computer players, Fogpiercer also debuts on July 17th. Mixing science fiction with building card decks, the roguelike requires the strategist to think several moves ahead to create devastating combos and survive the monsters that hide in a deadly fog.

Space exploration takes on a new chapter on July 21st with The Planet Crafter. The central objective is to transform an inhospitable celestial body into a viable home for the human race, a long process that involves mining ores, building housing complexes and altering the atmosphere to generate oxygen, tasks that can be shared with friends over the internet.

Closing the list of additions on July 21st, the acclaimed collection Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is present on consoles, computers and the cloud. The package revitalizes the two games that popularized skateboarding in video games in the late 90s, maintaining the striking soundtrack, the original athletes and the classic tracks, but with graphics completely modernized for the current generation of devices.

A resounding success, Palworld reaches its definitive version

The Palworld phenomenon, which dominated the internet at the beginning of the year by mixing survival with monster capture, finally abandons the testing phase and launches version 1.0 on July 10th. The massive update will be available to all subscribers, introducing brand-new islands to the map, new creatures to tame, and improved base-building mechanics.

Extra benefits and cosmetic items for the community

In addition to the rotating library, Microsoft continues to offer digital bonuses for those who keep their monthly payments up to date, focusing on highly popular free titles.

League of Legends players on PC can now immediately enable Locke, the Ash Exorcist. The new character acts as an assassin focused on the central route of the map, possessing a set of skills designed to eliminate fragile targets quickly and guarantee tactical advantages for the team during confrontations.

The action RPG Wuthering Waves also prepared rewards for Xbox Series X|S and PC owners. Whenever the game receives a major content pack, subscribers will be able to redeem virtual coins, upgrade items like the Premium Tuner, and a platform-exclusive green cosmetic badge to display on their profiles.

Farewells confirmed for half of the month

As usual, the renewal of the collection requires the removal of some works, and a considerable batch of games will be removed on July 15th.
