The “Excavating Yamato 41” exhibition is currently open to the public, featuring the 2025 Nara Prefectural Archaeological Excavation Report.
The Kashihara Archaeological Institute Museum, located in Nara Prefecture, constantly makes archaeological research results available, promptly displaying finds collected during explorations.
The “Excavating Yamato” exhibition series is organized annually in collaboration with various research entities in the prefecture, such as municipalities, temples and shrines. It prioritizes the presentation of materials from excavations carried out in the previous year at local sites.
The current edition, the 41st, focuses on sites that have been investigated in the last year, with a collection of artifacts and photographic panels of the discoveries. The purpose is for a vast audience to observe the results of the most recent archaeological investigations in Nara Prefecture, valuing its rich cultural heritage and, consequently, deepening knowledge about the region.
