Phantom Blade Zero gets new release date: October 29, 2026
The long-awaited RPG action adventure, Phantom Blade Zero, will have its release postponed. Developer S-Game announced the postponement on June 3, 2026, changing the initial forecast for computers and PlayStation 5.

The game’s CEO and creator, known as Soulframe, used the X platform to share the news with the community. In a public statement following the June 2026 State of Play presentation, he expressed his “sincere apologies” for the setback, explaining in detail the reasons behind the 50-day extension.

Soulframe explained that the decision was not taken lightly, aware of the high expectations of players. “This was not an easy decision. More than anyone else, we understand the expectations that our players placed on us,” he said. The justification for the postponement is based on the incessant search for perfection, avoiding launching a product that could still be significantly improved.
The studio leader mentioned having identified “one last opportunity” to provide “another significant leap” in the quality of Phantom Blade Zero. This final effort includes updating character models, completely revamping environments, and optimizing visuals to maintain maximum impact without relying solely on ray tracing. Soulframe stressed the importance of “ensuring that the essence, atmosphere, and intensity of Phantom Blade Zero are conveyed in full force to as many players as possible.”

The development team believes that while the delay to the end of October “doesn’t solve everything”, it will provide “sufficient time to complete a number of clearly defined and genuinely important improvements”. The main goal is to make Phantom Blade Zero available as a robust and complete experience from day one, delivering fans the “best possible version” of the game.
