Blocking accounts on WhatsApp worries users after analyzing the Terms of Service
Several users of the WhatsApp application report having had their accounts blocked by the platform. Affected profiles are unable to access the service and receive a notification about checking the platform’s terms of use.
The message displayed informs you that the accounts are in the process of being reviewed to confirm compliance with the service rules. The notice also clarifies that the result of the evaluation will be communicated to users within 24 hours after the initial block.

In posts on social media, many of the impacted users state that they did not take any action that could violate the platform’s usage policies, expressing surprise and frustration with the interruption of access to the application.
In response to the situation, the company Meta, responsible for WhatsApp, said that it maintains constant efforts to “stay ahead of those who try to misuse the service”. The company added that account blocking is a measure adopted to “help protect other users” from irregular activities.

Meta acknowledged the possibility of flaws in the system, stating that “eventually, we may make mistakes.” The company assured that, when this happens, it seeks to “resolve the situation as quickly as possible so that people can communicate again”, indicating a review process and possible unblocking.

The access problem extends to users in other countries
Reports of lockdown are not just limited to Brazil. On social network X, users who use WhatsApp in other languages, such as Spanish, also registered complaints about the same problem, indicating that the situation may be international in scope.
