Xbox Game Pass will lose 5 games in August 2026; check out the list with Neon Abyss and One Lonely Outpost

Microsoft announced that five titles will leave the Xbox Game Pass catalog on August 31, 2026. Among the games that say goodbye to the service, productions such as “Another Crab’s Treasure” and the acclaimed “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” stand out, challenging players to make the most of the last few weeks.

This movement is part of the Game Pass update routine, which constantly adds and removes games, keeping the catalog dynamic. For many subscribers, the release of popular titles requires quick planning to finalize campaigns or explore extra content.

Complete list of games leaving Game Pass

The five titles that will leave Xbox Game Pass by the end of August 2026 are already highlighted in the official Xbox app for mobile devices. The list includes a variety of genres and platforms:

• Neon Abyss: Console, PC, Cloud (out August 31)

• The Lonely Outpost: Console, PC, Cloud (out August 31)
• Another Crab’s Treasure: Console, PC, Cloud (out August 31)
• I Am The Fae: Console, PC, Cloud (out August 31)
• The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Console, Cloud (out August 31)

The race against time to enjoy games

The departure of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is particularly notable given the RPG’s size and depth. Even with new expansions and updates available, fourteen days may not be enough for new players to explore everything the game has to offer. For those who haven’t tried it yet, it’s the last opportunity to dive into this universe at no additional cost for the service.

Discounts for keeping favorite games

For subscribers who want to continue playing or purchase titles that will leave the catalogue, Microsoft offers a solution. There will be discounts of at least 20% on all of these Xbox Game Pass games. This promotion will be available until the exit date, on August 31, 2026, allowing players to permanently incorporate the games into their libraries.

NBA 2K26 will also be removed in September

In addition to the five games leaving at the end of August, Microsoft also confirmed that “NBA 2K26” will leave Xbox Game Pass a little later, on September 6th. Basketball fans have a few more days to enjoy the simulator before its removal.

New things coming to Xbox Game Pass

Despite the departures, the subscription service will continue to be supplied with new content. Many more titles are scheduled to arrive on Xbox Game Pass in September. So far, the company has confirmed the inclusion of four new games in the service, ensuring that the flow of news remains constant for subscribers.
