Newegg ends US$ 85 PlayStation Store card deal for GTA 6 Ultimate Edition

Newegg has stopped offering a US$ 100 PlayStation Store gift card for US$ 85 that buyers could use to pre-order GTA 6 Ultimate Edition. Reports published on October 28, 2026 say the deal is over and has been replaced by a different promotion, even though a story from October 27, 2026 still described it as active.

The ended offer used code GTWF2793 at checkout and cost US$ 15 less than face value. Shoppers who bought it received a key by email and redeemed it on the PlayStation Network account, console or browser, to add funds to the PlayStation Store wallet.

Newegg swaps the US$ 85 card for a US$ 250 bundle

The card discount applied only to the gift card, not to the game itself. Buyers could only use it on US PlayStation accounts. Since the retailer changed its terms in the same period, a US$ 40 card now comes free with a US$ 250 gift card purchase, and no code is required.

Another Newegg promotion, code TEFF427, sold a US$ 100 card for US$ 90 and was logged on October 3, 2026. That offer capped purchases at three cards per customer and was described as time-limited. No source confirmed whether the code still works. Costco also sold a pack of four US$ 25 cards for US$ 79.99, valid until October 11, 2026, and that promotion required an active US membership.

Ultimate Edition still lists at US$ 99.99 in the US store

GTA 6 Ultimate Edition is listed at US$ 99.99 on the PlayStation Store in the United States. The standard version costs less, and the figures below are the prices reported for US buyers.

Rockstar Games has not cut the price of the game in October 2026, according to a review of card promotions published in the same month. No source reported a price of US$ 84.99 for the Ultimate Edition, so the US$ 85 figure refers only to the gift card.

November 19 launch with pre-load starting November 12

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who bought the game before launch can start the pre-load earlier, and no end date for pre-orders appears in the material reviewed.

PC version and PS5 firmware 14.10 remain unconfirmed

Rockstar has not announced a PC version of the game. The firmware 14.10 requirement for PS5 has not been confirmed by Sony or by Rockstar. The cost of upgrading from the Standard Edition to the Ultimate Edition has also not been confirmed.
