Roma intensifies search for Luis Henrique, ex-Botafogo, aiming for reinforcement in the Champions League
Back among the European elite with a place in the Uefa Champions League for the 2026/2027 season, Roma has shown interest in strengthening its squad and is preparing a proposal to acquire Luis Henrique, currently at Inter Milan. The information, confirmed on August 21, 2026, indicates that, although there is no formal offer, the official announcement should take place in the next few days.
Luis Henrique, 24 years old, arrived at Inter Milan in mid-2025 and has a contract with the Italian club valid until mid-2030. The attacking midfielder spent time at Botafogo between 2018 and 2023, and also wore the shirt of Olympique de Marseille, in France.

During his career with the Inter Milan shirt, Luis Henrique celebrated winning the 21st Italian Championship title and also the Italian Cup, in a final played against Lazio.
In the weeks leading up to this move, the Roma team had shown interest in Endrick, a striker for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team. However, despite the Italian club’s efforts, the former Palmeiras player clearly expressed that he does not intend to leave the Santiago Bernabéu at this time.
Endrick has the full support of the technical committee led by José Mourinho, who awarded the number 9 shirt to the young Brazilian for the start of the season, solidifying his position in the Real Madrid squad.
