Career records across stock car events
The competitor entered 47 sanctioned races during his professional career.
Myers secured 38 career victories at Bowman Gray Stadium over a competitive span of five years in NASCAR divisions. His sons Burt Myers and Jason Myers subsequently chose professional racing paths on regional oval tracks. He died overnight.
Generational racing roots at the historic short track
Myers represented the second of four racing generations in the Myers family, following the path established by his father Billy Myers and his uncle Bobby Myers, who both earned significant victories at Bowman Gray Stadium.
