Zara Larsson credits genetics and dance for stage physique
Zara Larsson addressed questions regarding her physical fitness on 14 through online platforms following her concert at Rock in Rio 2026 in Rio de Janeiro. The Swedish pop artist clarified that her appearance results primarily from inherited traits and stage activity rather than conventional gym workouts.
She rejects heavy gym routines.
The Swedish pop singer explained that completing approximately 60 live concerts over the past year provided all the physical exertion she required, stressing that individual bodies develop muscle mass differently and comparing personal physiques serves very little practical purpose. “I did an average of 60 shows last year, which is enough for me, and I do not like going to the gym, but I have my genetics, sorry,” Larsson stated. She noted that natural variation makes comparisons futile, adding that physical confidence matters more than uniform muscular standards.
Physical routine relies on live stage performances
Larsson emphasized that stage movements provide both aerobic conditioning and emotional enjoyment during long concert schedules. Her live presentations combine intense choreography with vocal execution across international tour dates.
“When I do my show, dancing is so fun, pleasurable,” Larsson declared regarding her physical routine.
Dance recommended as daily twenty minute activity
The vocalist advised listeners to integrate simple dance sessions into everyday life without requiring specialized fitness equipment. “To put in a minimum of 20 minutes every day, put on your favorite song to make you feel sexy, look in the mirror, close your eyes, the door, and just go,” she said.
Her suggestion prioritizes personal expression and rhythm over repetitive weight training exercises. She encouraged followers to turn on music at home to encourage continuous bodily movement. “My tip is: dance, dance,” the artist affirmed.
Brazilian dance styles featured during festival concert
Prior to her concert on 13 at the Sunset Stage, Larsson shared clips practicing the passinho do Jamal choreography. During the live performance of her track Blue Moon, the singer executed the traditional quadradinho dance move before the festival audience.
Her live repertoire also highlighted established hits such as Midnight Sun.
