Invincible VS expands roster to 21 characters with Angstrom Levy DLC

Invincible VS will introduce multiversal supervillain Angstrom Levy to its playable roster on October 13, 2026. The character arrives as the third downloadable content fighter and expands the tag-team fighting game lineup to 21 combatants alongside the start of Season 2.

Attendees at the Evo France 2026 esports tournament in Nice will receive early hands-on access to the character before the official release. Publisher Skybound Games and developer Quarter Up announced the launch date following the release of an official gameplay trailer on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Multiversal mechanics define Angstrom Levy combat style

Angstrom Levy functions as a zoning-focused fighter who uses space control, setup tools, and interdimensional mechanics to dictate the pace of a match. The fighter’s moveset relies on opening portals across the stage for mobility, offensive routing, and defensive escapes, alongside summonable energy orbs that create hazardous traps.

Mike Willette, executive producer of Invincible VS at Quarter Up and former lead producer on Killer Instinct, pointed out that the character was designed to operate unlike anyone else on the current roster. “When we started thinking about how Angstrom should play in Invincible VS, we knew his portals had to be at the heart of everything he does,” Willette stated.

In the game’s core three-versus-three battle system, these tools allow players to assist teammates or disrupt opposing team synergies through multi-layered spatial traps. “We’ve had a blast bringing Angstrom’s multiversal powers into Invincible VS, and we can’t wait to see what you do with them. Whether you’re using portals to escape pressure, setting a trap for an unsuspecting opponent or finding your own ridiculous combinations with his orbs, there’s a lot to discover once you start getting comfortable with his toolkit,” Willette said.

The character’s backstory in the game mirrors his origins from the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman, co-founder of Skybound Entertainment. A catastrophic laboratory accident bonded Angstrom Levy with the alternate memories of his multiversal variants, leaving him with physical disfigurement and a fractured psyche driven by a vendetta against the superhero Invincible.

Public preview schedule at Evo France 2026 in Nice

Fighting game enthusiasts will be able to test Angstrom Levy prior to the digital rollout during the Evo France 2026 tournament. The competitive gathering runs from Friday, October 9, to Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Palais des Expositions in Nice, France.

The on-site build at the event will feature the completed character kit, allowing competitive players to examine his frame data, portal trap interactions, and combo conversions inside tournament-grade match conditions before his general release.

Invincible VS Year 1 Character Pass release timeline

The arrival of Angstrom Levy marks the third stage in the post-launch support plan funded and distributed in partnership with 5th Planet Games, led by chief executive officer Mark Stanger. The rollout schedule includes several verified milestones:

Roster expansion and platform availability

Invincible VS launched with an original roster of 18 fighters drawn from the comic book continuity and the animated television adaptation. With the inclusion of the two previously deployed downloadable contenders and the upcoming arrival of Angstrom Levy, the selection screen will reach 21 selectable fighters out of the four total additions planned under the Year 1 Character Pass.

The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Steam and the Windows Xbox app with Xbox Play Anywhere functionality. While an initial digital publication on the Xbox Wire platform mistakenly labeled the October 13 update as an open beta in its headline, production documentation from Skybound Games and 5th Planet Games confirms that the milestone represents the live deployment of Season 2 and the third DLC fighter.
