The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Chicago Bulls 126-107 on Monday night, November 2, 2026, at Xfinity Mobile Arena, and LeBron James drew attention for moments far from the box score. The 76ers forward took a sip from a fan’s cup of red wine and later danced after a basket. The win gave Philadelphia sole first place in the Eastern Conference.
Sip of fan’s wine came after a collision in the stands
James collided with spectator Troy Clemons in the third quarter while chasing a loose ball, and some of the red wine spilled onto his arm. He then tasted the drink. “It was all right,” James said with a smile after the game. Clemons, a longtime 76ers season-ticket holder, confirmed the drink was wine and said he was not worried about it getting on him. An Instagram post claimed the NBA fined James $200,000 over the episode, but the league had announced no fine as of Tuesday morning, November 3, 2026.
Layup with a foul call sparks a dance on the floor
Another highlight came when James drove into the middle of the Bulls’ defense and took contact from two defenders. He finished the short-range shot while off balance.

The No. 23 made the shot and earned the bonus free throw. He then turned toward the baseline and danced in front of the fans in the stands, while teammates applauded before the extra free throw. Tyrese Maxey laughed at the celebration, and the two danced together again moments later after Maxey scored his own and-one.
How LeBron’s stat line helped the 76ers top the East
James was the team’s main playmaker through all four quarters, organizing possessions and feeding shooters on the perimeter. Maxey led the Sixers with 26 points, and the other starters also reached double figures.
