Gabriel Bonfim beat Randy Brown by technical knockout in the second round of the main fight of UFC Vegas 111, held this Saturday (8) in Las Vegas, United States. The 27-year-old Brazilian threw a knee in the clinch that took the Jamaican to the canvas, forcing the referee to intervene. The victory marks the fighter’s sixth victory in seven fights in the UFC.
The athlete from the Bonfim Brothers team started the confrontation with low kicks to compromise his opponent’s mobility. Brown, 14th in the welterweight rankings, tried to apply pressure in the next round, but was unable to avoid the decisive blow.
Bonfim, seen as a promise in Brazilian MMA, only lost to Nicolas Dalby in November 2023. The performance could raise his position in the rankings of the 77 kg division.
