Details of the new version Comfort

The Comfort version of the MG4 was designed to be the entry point to the line, maintaining most of the attributes that characterize the electric hatch, but with a more accessible price positioning. Externamente, the bold design and modern lines are maintained, ensuring that the model does not lose its striking visual identity, which includes tapered LED headlights and a rear with lights that cross the entire trunk lid.

Internally, the configuration offers a robust equipment package, including a multimedia center with a floating screen, digital instrument panel and connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Performance and autonomy of the electric hatch

The MG4 Essa configuration allows the hatch to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 160 km/h. The set is powered by a 64 kWh battery, which, according to data from the WLTP cycle, provides a range of up to 450 kilometers. However, according to measurements from the Inmetro, the official range for the Brazilian market is 364 kilometers on a single charge. The MSP modular platform, on which the car is built, has an architecture that allows for a low center of gravity and an ideal 50:50 weight distribution, which translates into more precise and stable handling, resembling that of a sports car. The charging system is versatile, supporting both alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current. On a DC fast charger, it is possible to recover 10% to 80% of the battery charge in approximately 35 minutes, while on a 7 kW AC wallbox, a full charge takes approximately 8.5 hours.

Embedded technology and security

One of the strengths of the MG4 line is its technology package. The Comfort version is equipped with the iSmart connectivity system, which allows the driver to control various vehicle functions remotely through a cell phone application. Funções such as pre-conditioning the cabin, checking the battery level and recharging scheduling are available in the palm of your hand.

In terms of safety, the model does not disappoint. Ele comes standard with six airbags, traction and stability control, four-wheel disc brakes with regenerative system and hill start assistant. The MG Pilot package, a suite of driver assistance technologies (ADAS), is also present, including adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keep assist (LKA) and automatic emergency braking (AEB), raising the active safety standard in the segment.

MSP platform and innovative design

The MG4 is built on the modern modular platform MSP (Modular Scalable Platform), developed by SAIC Motor specifically for electric vehicles. Essa advanced architecture allows great flexibility in the design and configuration of different types of vehicles, in addition to optimizing internal space and safety.

Thanks to this base, the MG4 has one of the thinnest batteries on the market, measuring just 110 mm tall, which contributes to a lower center of gravity and significantly improves driving dynamics. The perfectly balanced weight distribution between the front and rear axles is another direct benefit of the platform.

Measuring 4.28 meters long and with a wheelbase of 2.70 meters, the hatch offers surprisingly generous interior space for its category. The trunk has a capacity of 363 liters, a volume suitable for daily use and short trips.

Pricing strategy and competition

With a price of R$169,990, the MG4 Comfort enters an extremely competitive market range. Seu main target is the BYD Dolphin Plus, which costs R$179,800 and also offers 204 hp of power. Outro strong competitor is the GWM Ora 03 GT, sold for R$184,000.

MG The brand is betting that these factors will be decisive in consumer choice.

The MG4 line in the Brasil is completed with the Luxury version, which adds items such as a 360° camera, sunroof and other comfort features for R$184,600, and the high-performance XPower version, with all-wheel drive, 435 hp and a price of R$229,800.

This range of options allows MG to serve different profiles of electric vehicle consumers, from those looking for the best value for money to those who prioritize maximum performance and technology, consolidating the brand’s presence in the country.

Network warranty and expansion

For the MG4, the MG Essa extended warranty policy seeks to convey confidence to consumers about the durability and reliability of the electrical technology used in the model.

Commitment to the Brazilian market

The launch of the MG4 Comfort is part of an ambitious plan by MG Motor for the Brasil. The company is investing in expanding its dealership network, with the aim of doubling the number of points of sale by the end of the year, ensuring greater capillarity and a more accessible after-sales service throughout the national territory. Essa expansion is essential to support the increase in sales volume expected with the new version of the electric hatch and other future launches scheduled for the country.
