Samsung took advantage of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 showcase, in Las Vegas, to make its new generation of premium notebooks official. The Galaxy Book6 line was presented with a focus on high performance, integrated artificial intelligence and battery life that promises to redefine market standards, targeting creative professionals, developers and users who demand continuous performance.
The new family of devices is made up of three main variants: the Galaxy Book6, the Book6 Pro and the top-of-the-line model, the Galaxy Book6 Ultra. Este last concentrates the most robust specifications and the brand’s main technological advances for the segment, positioning itself as a strong competitor to other high-end notebooks.
The initial launch of the new notebooks is scheduled for the end of January in selected markets, with a gradual expansion to other regions of the globe scheduled for spring 2026. The South Korean company’s strategy considers the extended life cycle of laptops, which often exceeds five years of use, betting on durable components and software optimizations to ensure longevity.
High-end specs with Intel and NVIDIA
The heart of the Galaxy Book6 Ultra is the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor, a chip that not only delivers raw processing power but also incorporates a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU). Essa NPU is capable of performing 49 trillion operations per second (TOPS), accelerating artificial intelligence tasks directly on the device, without the need to connect to the cloud. Funções how automated image editing and real-time audio transcription are performed with greater speed and energy efficiency.
For graphics performance, the notebook offers dedicated GPU options from the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series, including the RTX 5060 and RTX 5070 models.
The hardware set is complemented by LPDDR5X RAM memory soldered on the motherboard, available in configurations from 16 GB to 32 GB. When it comes to storage, the Book6
With expandability in mind, the Samsung included two NVMe slots in configurations specific to the Ultra model. Essa feature allows users to increase storage capacity in the future in a simple way, an important differentiator for professionals who deal with large volumes of data and project files.
Renewed design with a focus on portability and immersive screen
The Galaxy Book6 Ultra features a sophisticated construction, with an aluminum chassis available in gray and silver finishes that convey sobriety and elegance. One of the most significant design changes was the removal of the “notch” at the top of the screen, allowing the Samsung to implement thin, uniform borders on all sides. Essa decision maximizes the viewing area and provides a more immersive experience. Portability has also been improved: the Ultra model is just 15.4 millimeters thick, a notable reduction of 1.1 millimeters compared to the previous generation, and weighs approximately 1.79 kilograms in its base configuration. Usability is reinforced by a large haptic trackpad, which offers precise tactile responses, and a backlit keyboard with a two-color layout, designed to ensure comfort during long workdays.
The screen is, without a doubt, one of the biggest highlights of the device. The 16-inch Super AMOLED panel offers a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels, ensuring sharp and detailed images. Variable refresh rate technology is another strong point, allowing the display to dynamically adjust its frequency between 30 Hz and 120 Hz. Isso translates into fluid movements in games and videos, while saving power when displaying static content such as text and images. Maximum brightness reaches 1000 nits in HDR content, double the capacity of the previous model, delivering absolute blacks and vibrant colors. Para ensure durability, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology and has touch support, expanding the ways of interacting with the system.
Energy efficiency redefines autonomy
One of Samsung’s most impactful announcements was the impressive autonomy of the Galaxy Book6 line. Segundo internal tests by the manufacturer, the notebook can achieve up to 30 hours of local video playback on a single charge, a number that puts it ahead of many direct competitors. The Ultra model, specifically, reaches this mark with an 80 Wh battery, a capacity nominally lower than the 100 Wh found in some rivals, which demonstrates an exceptional job of energy optimization of the hardware and software. Essa efficiency was achieved through innovations such as a reduced battery protection circuit and the use of cells with greater energy density, allowing for optimization of internal space. Para To ensure long-term reliability, the battery has undergone rigorous durability testing, withstanding more than a thousand complete charge and discharge cycles. Além’s long-lasting, fast charging is another differentiator, with the power adapter being able to take the Ultra’s battery to 63% of its capacity in just 30 minutes.
Advanced cooling system for continuous performance
To sustain the high performance of the components, Samsung completely redesigned the Galaxy Book6’s cooling architecture. The new system was designed to avoid “thermal throttling”, a phenomenon in which performance is reduced to control overheating. The adopted solution physically separates the main heat sources, such as the CPU and GPU, preventing hot zones from overlapping and improving dissipation.
The internal vapor chamber has been significantly enlarged, distributing heat more evenly and increasing dissipation efficiency by up to 35% in the Pro model. The system features a double-pass fan, whose blades have been individually optimized to maximize airflow, resulting in quieter operation even under intense load.
Complete sound experience and connectivity
The audio quality of the Galaxy Book6 Ultra is designed to offer an immersive experience, featuring a six-speaker system with Dolby Atmos certification. Essa configuration ensures rich and spatial sound reproduction.
The set consists of two front tweeters, responsible for delivering clear and crisp highs, and four woofers with force cancellation technology. Estes emit sound in opposite directions to cancel out vibrations in the chassis, resulting in deeper bass and distortion-free audio, even at high volumes.
In terms of connectivity, the notebook is equally complete. Ele offers two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt support, two traditional USB-A ports, an HDMI video output, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone and microphone jack.
Reinforced security with the Knox platform
Data security is a priority in the new line, which comes equipped with the Samsung Knox platform. Essa solution implements a hardware-based chain of trust that starts from the moment the system boots, ensuring a protected environment from the ground up.
The operating system’s firmware and kernel are monitored in real time to detect and block low-level threats. Essa constant verification protects user data against sophisticated attacks that could compromise device integrity.
Global market availability
Samsung confirmed that the new Galaxy Book6 line will be available for purchase from the end of January in selected markets. Global expansion is planned for spring 2026, with region-specific dates and pricing to be announced at a later date.
