The luxury multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) market in China witnessed the arrival of a new and strong competitor. Geely officially launched the Galaxy V900 on January 20, 2026, a model that combines sophisticated design, cutting-edge technology and an extended range electric propulsion system (EREV), positioning itself as a robust option for families and executives seeking space, comfort and efficiency.

Equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged combustion engine that functions exclusively as a generator, the V900 is driven by electric motors that deliver a combined power of 456 horsepower. Esta configuration allows for a purely electric range of up to 260 kilometers, while the total range, with the fuel tank and battery fully charged, reaches an impressive 1,220 kilometers, eliminating distance concerns on long journeys.

Available in three trim versions, with prices ranging between approximately 270,000 and 370,000 yuan, the vehicle offers flexible configurations of six, seven or eight seats. Geely bets on the combination of luxury, performance and sustainability to gain a significant share of one of the most competitive segments of the Chinese automotive market.

Imposing design and exclusive details

The exterior of the Geely Galaxy V900 is designed to convey sophistication and presence. The fluid lines and the body measuring more than 5.3 meters in length give the model an imposing appearance. The front is dominated by the light signature “Star River”, which creates a continuous and modern visual effect, highlighting the wide front grille and establishing a striking visual identity.

To reinforce its premium character, the top-of-the-line version features the Pegasus logo with a 24-carat gold finish, an exclusive detail rare in the sector. The set is complemented by large diameter wheels, rear lights interconnected by an LED bar and a highly durable nanoceramic paint, which ensures that the V900 stands out visually in any environment.

Technological and comfort-focused interior

The cabin of the Galaxy V900 was designed as a true sanctuary of technology and comfort, with a space utilization rate of over 91%. The dashboard features a huge 15.4-inch central screen, which serves as the command center for most of the vehicle’s functions, operating intuitively and responsively. Adicionalmente, the driver has a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and an almost 20-inch augmented reality head-up display.

Entertainment for rear passengers is guaranteed by a dedicated 17.3-inch screen installed in the second row, allowing occupants to watch movies or play games independently. The onboard experience is elevated to a new level by the Flyme sound system, which has 27 speakers and a power of 2,300 watts, providing immersive and crystal-clear sound quality for all passengers.

Attention to detail is evident in the high-quality materials and refined craftsmanship throughout the cabin. The seats, for example, not only offer full electrical adjustments, but also include heating, ventilation and massage functions, with tactile controls integrated into the armrests in the top version for greater convenience and a first-class experience.

Hybrid powertrain and performance

The heart of the Galaxy V900 is its innovative EREV system, which represents a smart solution for the energy transition. In Nesta configuration, the 1.5-liter turbo engine does not propel the vehicle directly, acting only as a generator to recharge the batteries on the move. Traction is entirely provided by two electric motors, which guarantees an instantaneous, silent and vibration-free acceleration response, characteristic of electric vehicles.

Depending on the version, the MPV is equipped with 43.3 kWh or 50 kWh batteries, which provide a pure electric range of 220 or 260 kilometers, respectively, according to the CLTC test cycle. Esse range is more than enough for most daily urban commutes, allowing the vehicle to operate as a pure electric in the city.

For longer trips, the combustion generator comes into action, extending the total autonomy to 1,220 kilometers and providing the driver with peace of mind. The system’s advanced electronic management optimizes energy consumption, maintaining efficiency even when the gasoline engine is running to recharge the battery.

With a total power of 456 horsepower and a torque of 523Nm, the V900’s performance is vigorous. Apesar Due to its large size and heavy weight, the MPV accelerates with agility and offers safe and stable driving, whether on urban roads or highways, combining the best of both worlds: electrical efficiency and the practicality of a long range.

Cutting-edge safety and autonomous driving

Geely has equipped the Galaxy V900 with one of the most advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) packages available on the market. The vehicle has a total of 27 high-precision sensors, including a long-range LiDAR, multiple millimeter-wave radars and high-resolution cameras distributed around the body. Essa combination of technologies allows the system to create an extremely detailed three-dimensional digital map of the environment, identifying other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and obstacles with exceptional accuracy, even in adverse weather conditions or low light.

Thanks to this robust set of hardware, the V900 offers the NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) function, which allows semi-autonomous driving on highways and some urban roads mapped throughout China. The system is capable of carrying out complex maneuvers autonomously and safely, such as changing lanes, overtaking, entering and exiting access loops and speed adjustments according to traffic and road limits. Recursos such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and lane keeping assist operate continuously to raise the standard of active and passive safety.

Versatility and internal configurations

Flexibility is one of the main features of the Geely Galaxy V900, designed to adapt to the most diverse needs of families and companies. The entry-level version comes with a fixed seven-seat layout, ideal for everyday family use. Já mid-range and top-of-the-line configurations offer the choice between six, seven or eight seats, allowing complete customization of the interior space. In the six-seat configuration, the second row has two highly luxurious individual armchairs, which slide and recline electrically, transforming the interior into a mobile living room. Convenience is enhanced with features such as a 9.1-liter refrigerated compartment capable of holding beverages in temperatures ranging from -6 to 50 degrees Celsius, and wide power sliding doors that provide easy access to the third row of seats. Mesmo with all rows in use, the trunk maintains a generous volume for luggage, reinforcing the model’s practicality.

Positioning in the Chinese market

With prices starting from 270 thousand yuan, the Geely Galaxy V900 enters a heated and highly competitive segment, competing for consumer preference with already established models, such as the Denza D9 and the Xpeng X9. The Geely strategy is to offer an attractive value proposition, which combines luxury, advanced driver assistance technology and the practicality of extended autonomy, serving a demanding public that does not compromise on comfort, safety and sustainability.
