The legendary Italian sports car manufacturer is preparing for one of the most transformative moments in its century-old history, with the official presentation of its first all-electric vehicle scheduled to take place in May, in the city of Maranello. The project, called Luce, represents a paradigm shift for the brand, which seeks to align the tradition of extreme performance with the new global demands of sustainability and zero emissions, without sacrificing the driving emotion that defines its models.

Extreme performance and advanced engineering

The new model was designed to occupy the top of the automotive hierarchy, incorporating a propulsion system made up of four independent electric motors that deliver a combined power of over a thousand horsepower. Essa configuration enables highly sophisticated torque vector control at each wheel, ensuring precise driving dynamics and exceptional stability even at high speeds.

Preliminary performance data indicates acceleration from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in less than three seconds, placing the vehicle in direct competition with the fastest hypercars in the world. Engineering focused not just on brute force, but on linear power delivery, providing an immediate response that surpasses traditional combustion systems.

To sustain this performance, the car uses high energy density batteries that balance autonomy for long journeys and rapid discharge capacity for use on tracks. The thermal management system has been extensively tested to maintain optimal component efficiency regardless of weather conditions or intensity of use.

Minimalist design and exclusive collaboration

The vehicle’s aesthetics are the result of a strategic partnership with the creative collective LoveFrom, led by renowned designer Sir Jony Ive, famous for defining the visual identity of iconic technological products in recent decades. The aim of the collaboration was to create a visual language that transcends passing trends, resulting in a body with pure lines and functional aerodynamics that respects the Italian automaker’s legacy while pointing to the future.

The car’s interior reflects a philosophy of minimalist luxury, where technology serves the driver without creating unnecessary distractions, using sustainable materials and intuitive digital interfaces. The cabin was designed to offer a unique sensory experience, eliminating the excess of physical buttons and focusing on ergonomics and the emotional connection between the driver and the machine.

Sound identity and market

One of the biggest technical challenges overcome by the development team was the creation of an authentic sound signature, capable of replacing the characteristic roar of V12 engines without resorting to artificial sounds. The system developed amplifies the natural frequencies of the electric motors and transmission, generating auditory feedback that allows the driver to feel the mechanical behavior of the car in an organic way.

The arrival of this model on the market not only expands the company’s portfolio, but also reaffirms its commitment to innovation in a sector that is undergoing profound transformations. The first units should reach customers in the coming years, maintaining the strategy of exclusivity and high value that has always characterized the brand’s launches.
