The BYD Seal 07 hits the Chinese market with ultra-fast charging of 600 km in less than 9 minutes and a price below the Tesla Model 3

The BYD Seal 07, an updated electric sedan, was launched on the Chinese market with the new second-generation Blade battery and support for ultra-fast charging of up to 1,500 kW. The model allows you to add more than 600 km of autonomy in less than nine minutes, according to a demonstration carried out by the manufacturer. The sedan measures 4,995 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,495 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The 69 kWh battery provides a claimed range of up to 705 km on the Chinese CLTC cycle. In a practical test with a flash charger, the vehicle started with a 10% charge and reached 70% in 4 minutes and 51 seconds, reaching 97% in 8 minutes and 44 seconds.

Flash charging technology

BYD’s new charging infrastructure reaches peaks of 1,500 kW, which represents a significant improvement over common chargers. Essa capacity allows recharge times comparable to traditional fuel supply.

The system was designed to operate in vehicles equipped with the second-generation Blade battery, which offers greater energy density and support for high charge rates. The demonstration took place at a station at China and confirmed the addition of around 422 km in less than five minutes to the initial track.

Updated design and dimensions

The model features changes at the front, with redesigned bumpers and headlights compared to the previous hybrid variant. The structure maintains the three-volume sedan shape and incorporates aerodynamic elements.

Assistance and comfort features
