German tourist dies from snake poisoning during show at hotel in Egypt

The bite occurred while the show included a scene in which a snake charmer wrapped snakes around spectators’ necks. One of the two snakes, probably a cobra, got into the tourist’s pants and bit him on the leg during the performance. The poisoning was immediate.

Sinais severe and unsuccessful hospitalization

The tourist showed clear signs of poisoning shortly after the bite. Equipes doctors had to revive him on site before transport. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he received treatment, but could not resist the effects of the poison and died.

Bavarian authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the death. Exames toxicological tests were requested to confirm the exact cause of death and evaluate the composition of the inoculated venom.
