Roland-Garros qualifying begins Monday with broadcast on France 4

The Roland-Garros qualifying rounds open this Monday at Porte d’Auteuil. Duzentos and fifty-six players will compete in the Parisian Grand Slam over five days on clay courts, seeking one of the 32 places available in the main tournament — 16 for men and 16 for women.

The France Télévisions channel will be responsible for broadcasting the entire competition through the France.tv platform. Departures will be available from 10 am until the end of each day. France 4 will show one match daily: from Monday to Wednesday the signal starts at 12:30 pm, while Thursday and Friday broadcast from 1:30 pm.

Nomes enshrined in the fight for the vacancy

Grigor Dimitrov, David Goffin and Karolina Pliskova are among the best-known tennis players who will face the battle for places in the main table. França has a strong presence in the qualifiers with 30 players in contention — 16 men and 14 women. The Suzanne-Lenglen court and the external fields will host all matches in the five qualifying rounds. The tournament follows a traditional knockout pattern, where each defeat eliminates the competitor from contention. The winners advance progressively, with the last 32 finalists guaranteeing entry into the table of 128 players who will compete for the maximum Roland-Garros title.

The main tournament begins after the qualifiers close, with the new qualifiers joining the already confirmed favorites. The presence of renowned names from the professional circuit in the qualifiers reflects the importance of Paris as a stage in the international tennis calendar.
