Google Fitbit Air arrives for $100 with AI health assistant

Google introduced the Fitbit Air, a wearable device valued at US$100 that integrates an artificial intelligence-based health assistant. The launch marks the technology giant’s most aggressive entry into the premium wearables market, directly challenging competitors such as Whoop and Apple Watch. The device combines advanced biometric sensors with generative AI to deliver personalized health analysis in real time.

Fitbit Air positions itself as an intermediate alternative. Custa is smaller than traditional smartwatches, but offers more sophisticated functionality than conventional wrist trackers. Google’s strategy is to capture users looking for continuous monitoring without investing in ultra-premium devices.

AI Assistente continuously tracks metrics

The Fitbit Air’s central differentiator is its smart health assistant.
