Firefighters save 71-year-old man from arson at home in Quebec City; man detained
A 71-year-old man was dramatically rescued by firefighters in the early hours of Monday after being trapped in a burning residence in the city of Quebec. The incident, which authorities quickly classified as an arson attack, culminated in the arrest of a 52-year-old man directly at the scene. The agile and coordinated intervention of emergency teams was crucial to prevent a tragedy of greater proportions, ensuring the safety of the septuagenarian. Policiais and firefighters responded to the call at around 2:40 am, heading to Route de l’Aéroport, in the L’Ancienne-Lorette area.
