The Banco do Brasil application faced instability this Wednesday (10), leaving thousands of customers without access to their accounts and unable to make transfers during the morning.
Reports of failures began to multiply on social media and the DownDetector platform around 10 am. The number of complaints exceeded 2,500 before 11:20 am, mainly focused on problems logging in and accessing the app.
The bank confirmed the problem and said it is working to restore digital services as quickly as possible. According to an official note, card operations and PIX receipts were not affected by the instability.
Impact on customers’ daily lives
Many account holders reported difficulties paying bills, making transfers or checking balances exactly at the time when many people receive salaries or need to resolve financial issues. With the strong growth in the use of banking apps in Brazil in recent years, interruptions like this directly affect the routine of millions of users who depend on the digital channel for most transactions.
Banco do Brasil is one of the largest financial institutions in the country, with a strong presence in current accounts, loans and public services. Occasional instabilities in the app generate quick repercussions because they affect a high volume of customers throughout the country.
What the bank reported
In a statement, BB acknowledged the unavailability of digital channels this Wednesday morning and reinforced that it is working to normalize the situation. The institution highlighted that cards and PIX continued to operate normally, which allowed part of daily transactions to not be interrupted.
At the time of the last update, there is no exact forecast for full normalization, but the bank usually resolves these incidents within a few hours.
Outage history
Temporary failures in large bank applications occur occasionally in Brazil, generally linked to access spikes, system updates or specific technical problems. In the case of Banco do Brasil, customers on social media already mentioned the problem as recurring in some periods of high demand.
