Man arrested for murder of woman and simulation of railway accident after drug theft

The Civil Police arrested a bricklayer’s assistant this Monday (16) for murdering a woman and disposing of her body on a railway line. The criminal’s objective was to fake an accident. The suspect was captured at a construction site, located in the Grotão neighborhood, in the city of Paraíba do Sul, and was carried out by agents from the 107th DP.

As the investigations progressed, the individual subjected the victim to torture and severe aggression, which resulted in his death. After the murder was completed, the body was transported and abandoned on the railway tracks, in the Liberdade neighborhood. There, he was hit by a moving train.

Initially, authorities treated the incident as a railway disaster, due to the scene created by the attacker. However, technical expertise was fundamental in reversing this perception. Expert examinations unequivocally proved that the woman was already lifeless before being placed on the railway line, unmasking the simulation attempt.

During the investigative work, the police managed to identify the person responsible for the crime and determine the cause of the murder. The motivation pointed to the theft of drugs, which the victim had stolen from the attacker. A temporary arrest warrant for murder was served against him.
